I just broke the B (.018) string on my guitar. When I break the G# (.011) it startles me pretty good but that .018 scares the bejeezus out of me. Anybody ever have a coronary from breaking a string?

I used to let my grandson set in my lap while I practiced. One day I popped a third string and it came close to his face. No more in the lap unless I'm on the couch.

New OSHA regulations, PSG musicians must wear safety glasses (to protect from breaking & flying strings) steel toed shoes (to protect toes from dropped bar) and hard hat. Hearing protection is optional unless I'm playing where it becomes mandatory (or, at least, highly recommended ).

I think the "Wide Load" signs might go best on the pac-a-seats, though.
