Hi All
Now we have sorted out that I am not too old to go back to the Steel Guitar the question of which one to get is back.
Taking into account my finances I have 2 in mind.
WBS Basic or S10 Stage One.
I know a pro steel is preferable but one of these will have to do for now.
Suggestions please.
Thanks
Alan |

I am 69 and took up the steel less than 2 years ago and knowing I will never be great, I am having a ball. Why put limits on yourself? Otherwise you have failed before you tried! _________________ Justice " The Judge"

Alan,
I would go with the Stage One.... However, I have been a Zum player for many years so may have a slight bias. I don't think you could really do wrong with either choice both appear to be playable instruments.

Alan, contact Ted Nesbitt or John Davis on British forum, pretty sure they can fix you up with a used Pro model in that same sort of price range, and these guys will not sell you a bad one, worth talking to them. Both guitars you mention are great, but so are many of the used pro ones. _________________ MSA Millenium SD10, GK MB200, Sica 12inch cab, Joyo American Sound Pedal/ Jay Ganz Straight Ahead amp, Telonics 15inch in Peavey cab, Digitech RP150, Peterson tuner.Hilton volume pedal.Scott Dixon seat and guitar flight case. |

I'd say the WBS and Stage 1 are equal to each other.
And what they lack in mechanical flexibility, they make up in tone. _________________ 2 pedal steels, a lapStrat, and an 8-string Dobro (and 3 ukes)
