SUPRO 8 string Console Guitar * SOLD *
Supro Console 8 string non-pedal guitar in very nice condition for its condition for its age..
I believe its from the 1960s - you don't see too many of them around. All the controls work and includes original adjustable legs and original case in good condition.
Ive enjoyed playing and owning it.
Currently tuned to C6 (ACEGACEG)
Note: in full disclosure, the nut also has string spacing for 6 strings....maybe taken from a 6 string guitar and put on this guitar?? Whatever the reason it was before my time and just a tiny detail.
$585 including shipping in the 48. Elsewhere? we’ll figure it out!

Hi John -John Goux wrote:This is interesting.
Questions:
What is the scale length?
What is the string spacing distance at the bridge?
What is the spacing at the nut?
What is under that black cover at the bridge? Of you can show a photo of the pickup, that would be great.
John
I'll get the ruler and tape out and measure all those things for you...no problem.
The black cover goes over the pick up and bridge of course...I'll get a few photos without cover.
Roger

Most 8 string Supros use some variation of the same pickups as the contemporary 8-string National consoles. I've only seen one Valco-made guitar with an eight string string-through pickup. It was pictured on this forum but I can't remember if it was a Supro, Oahu or what. I do recall that it was an earlier (maybe early 50's?) guitar.Charlie Vegas wrote:Do the 8-strings not have the stringthru pup?

Charlie - as far as I'm aware it's all original.
