Totally restored. Excellent condition. Best sounding push pull I have ever owned or played.

Got to experience the bolt on guitar, man oh man. I'd love to have another. Good opportunity, good price.

Nice looking guitar.. I'm a recent bolt-on convert. It is definitely a different guitar than a cut-tail. I managed to find two within in a relatively short period, so I re-shuffled my inventory of guitars (i.e. sold some stuff) and bought both. :-)

I found some guy selling cases, and he didn't really know what they're worth.. so I took advantage of him. :-)

Also, bump up for a great guitar, somebody ought to buy this.. sorry to hijack your for sale thread Tom. Good luck..

Have decided to keep until a serious buyer who would appreciate this guitar comes along.
I have been playing Emmons guitars for almost 50 years have owned 4 or 5 PP and 3 Lashly LeGrande and none sounded better then this.

Early Emmons PP bolt on

Post by Tom Vollmer »

d if he would sell and to my surprise he said yes. He had stored it in a shed or barn and it was very dirty rust on some add on knees and the worst was the formica separating. I did not know what year or type, bolt on it was until I got it and saw it was different then my 1970 cut tail. Also it was lowered .I had in addition to other repairs get standard length legs and make new stainless pull rods. Also made a combination pull to give raise string 1 and 2.To get string 2 raise to E and drop to D and C# is a bit of work. I decided to use the original fret boards which had a small amount of wear and use as much of the original as possible.
Anyway it works very well and sounds as good as a PP I have ever owned as I have been playing PP since 1967.I don't recall how many I owned at least 5 and 2 Le Grandes. Hope this gives a history on it.
