Audio for Emmons School of PSG Course No. BE-E9

Post by Jack Hanson »

Seeking an audio file or compact disc containing the music for this classic Buddy Emmons course from the 1970s:

Purchased new at Clem's Minneapolis store in the late '70s. Still have the tab, but the original LP has gone missing. This course features 10 songs, including I've Just Destroyed The World, Crazy Arms, Walk Me To The Door, Touch My Heart, Swinging Doors, Are You Sure, The Way To Survive, etc.

My LP has come up missing also. I would love to have a CD of this. If you would be interested in burning one for me I would be glad to pay for it!

Hello folks,
Unfortunately I have not looked too often in this part of the forum, so I did not see your search for the above mentioned course until now. I have the audio you are looking for as a CD and would send you a copy if we can work out if you are willing to take over the shipping and handling. Just let me know.

Sincerely

Copies of the tab for Emmons Guitar Company course BE-E9

Post by Jack Hanson »

I have received multiple requests for copies of my tablature for this classic course by Buddy Emmons. I am hesitant to reproduce and make available material that is someone else's intellectual property. I have been told by a person who should know that the rights to this course, as well as others, belong to the Lashley family.

Is there an attorney out there who would offer up an opinion on this? Currently, I have no intention of reproducing bootlegged copies of this tablature unless I could be convinced to do so would be acceptable to its owner(s).

That being said, I am of the opinion that this course, long out of print, should be made available again to steel players. So many of the classic Buddy Emmons licks are covered. It remains an invaluable insight into the mind of the greatest of the great ones. There may be better E9 courses in todays marketplace, but I've never seen one.

I know this is an old post but can you help me out. I ‘m looking for just the backing tracks to this course and they’re impossible to find on the Internet. Thank you.
