I was hearing static when playing , thought my pot in my Goodrich pedal was the culprit. changed it out with a Duncan hot potz. problem still existed. narrowed it to the pot for pre gain. the amp would go really quiet them come on full bore as I would floor the volume pedal to try to overcome. I removed the head from the amp. drilled a really small hole In the pot and shot it full of tuner cleaner. fixed the problem. sounds great. all of my pots are scratchy when I adjust my amp. wanting to replace them. are they simply a plug in affair or would I get in trouble trying to pull them out? where could I get parts.? thanks _________________ Fessenden SD10, Peavy Nashville 112, Fender Fat Strat, Crate glx 212, Crate GLX 65, Peavy foundation bass, Epiphone flat top Taylor flat top Epiphone Led Paul Epiphone Shreraton Hilton and Goodrich pedals one understanding wife |

try cleaning them first.
remove the chassis and reverb tank
Acquire some electronic spray cleaner (auto parts store $7)
each pot should have a small hole either on the top or bottom backside, work spray the cleaner into the hole, turn the pot full back and fourth. Don't worry it will evaporate.
While you are here, clean all the connectors and the reverb connectors, including the two RCA's on the reverb tank.
Many players (most) clean the pots on their amps but it is not common to replace them. _________________ Emmons L-II , Fender Telecasters, B-Benders , Eastman Mandolin ,

will do that, I did that to the most troublesome pot but was leery of that being a temporary fix. I will clean the other pots and see how it goes. thanks for the reply _________________ Fessenden SD10, Peavy Nashville 112, Fender Fat Strat, Crate glx 212, Crate GLX 65, Peavy foundation bass, Epiphone flat top Taylor flat top Epiphone Led Paul Epiphone Shreraton Hilton and Goodrich pedals one understanding wife |

All the pots being scratchy can be caused by DC, I believe. _________________ Dr. Z Surgical Steel amp, amazing!

Get some DeOxit D5 and keep it handy. Great stuff for pot as it lubes them too. DO NOT use on tube sockets _________________ I can explain it to you but I can't understand it for you
