GFI help

I'm considering the purchase of a SD10 8+4 GFI Ultra with case and goodrich pedal (Single E9 neck with pad). It is about 3 years old and is in new condition. I think the strings are original (i.e. not played much).

Is around $1500/1600 in the ball-park for pricing?

It's very different from my push-pull Emmons. The strings are wound once around a phillips screw at the head end. Is there a right-angled screwdriver for this or I guess the question is how do I change strings?

How/what do the plastic tuners on the end plate work/do. Do the tune closed position, one set for raises and one set for lowers?

Thanking you in advance.

I'm afraid I can't help directly, but it may be worth asking GFI themselves - http://www.gfimusicalproducts.com/Pages/Contact%20Us.htm

Looking at their website, couldthis have the keyless option - http://www.gfimusicalproducts.com/Pages/Keyless%20Tuning%20System.htm

Instructions are at http://www.gfimusicalproducts.com/Tables/Keyless%20Instructions.htm

Paul.

Pat , I have a GFI keyless SD10. It is a fine steel. Changing strings is simple, the hardest part is looping the string around the screw, no special tools, just a regular phillips. The price is within the ballpark of what I paid used. Mine is 5P and 4knees. JimP

The GFI website had a wealth of information. Thanks for the input. It has the keyless head also. I really like this guitar. Oh, I meant 3 + 4, not 8 + 4. Still thinking D10.

The wife thinks it's a purty thang. This is good.
