I received my new Ritttenberry D10, 8x5, The guitar plays great, stays in tune and sounds awesome. Thanks to Gary for the excellent customer service and for building such a fine instrument. That is good ol' American craftsmanship at it's best. I love it!! Thanks Gary!!

My two Rittenberry's. The black one has single coils- Wallace True Tones, and the new one has Bill Lawrence 705's.

Dan,
Great looking guitars! Gary does great work!
I was wondering if you could comment on the different pickups once you've had a chance to get more familiar with the new one. Which pickups do you prefer? Does the venue dictate which guitar you use (i.e. perhaps the humbuckers work out better is some locations). Do the single coils sound brighter?
Thanks,
Don |

Don,
I've had the guitar for a couple fo weeks now and played a handful of gigs on it. If I had to describe the tone of the two, I'd say the BL705's are fatter, more creamy sounding, while the Trutone's have more of the single coil bite. If I were going for more of a vintage tone I'd use the Trutone's, and use the 705's for more a modern sound. I like both of them equally. Two different flavors.
Oh, and I've never run into hum issues with either. I don't know if that's by design or I just got lucky. lol _________________ 2- Rittenberry D10's
