The late Butch Cornwall once said that Ed Fulawka made the greatest steels in the world. How old is Ed now. Is he still making them?

MIke I think he told me last week he was 88 or would be 88 on his next birthday and he still builds steels. He's got to have surgery on one of his hands after June 20th.

Here's Eddy (and me) about a month ago. He's old, but sharp! He's been making pedal steels since 1950, making him the oldest living builder. Hell of a guy. This is after a couple of pints of his home brew...

And believe me, those guitars are Eddie's babies!
When I had a Fulawka, I wanted to add some things to it and Eddie had reservations about selling me the parts, he didn't want me fooling with one of his creations. He finally repented and sent me the parts but not without a little persuasion on my part. Very Happy
