Been to Nashville (more pics)

I had the plesure to visit Nahville from 6 to 13 of june. So I was there on the CMA-fest. It was hot, a lot of Music and Cold beer
I saw a lot of good steelguitarplayers too..

and a few I did not get the name of.
It was just amazing...!!!
But I have a question?
On the sign to the bar Roberts it sad "Roberts Western World Home of -Sho Bud- Honky Tonk Heaven"
Why Sho Bud?...whats the story behind that text?

Roberts was the old Sho Bud factory and store. There is still some Sho Bud memorabilia on the walls, there used to be, but I cannot find it now, a little plaque saying it was the home of Sho Bud guitars.
I heard the lathes and other machines used to be upstairs at Roberts, I have asked about this, not many people have ever been on the third floor, I was told there may still be something left from Sho Bud but probably not much.
The Sho Bud name was sold to Gretsch who has done nothing with it except sell some hats and T-shirts.
Some of the musicians at Roberts mention about it being the old Sho Bud store.
Search the forum and you can find some old pictures of he place. Jessie from Brazil now owns Roberts.
I would like to hear anyone with additional information.

For a few years, Sho-Bud was in the building where Robert's is now. At the time, on any given Saturday night, steel players and Opry stars would go across the street after their shows at the Opry to see and talk with Shot Jackson. Sho-Bud stayed in the building from the late 1950s to the early '80s. I think Sho-Bud closed in 1983.

Sho-Bud opened a store in that building in 1964 not the '50's. At that time they had their facilities on Dickerson Road near the intersection of Due West Ave ( right beside Starday Studios ). Due to the heavy volume of orders they expanded to include building production at the 416 Broadway location.
As far as things going on there pror to 1964 it wasn't Sho-Bud.
