I have several vintage volume/tone pedals--Bigsby and Fender--but I find it difficult to get a smooth volume swell--with the taper and long travel of the pedals I find I'm fighting things too much. Would I be better served with a modern pedal in favor of the "cool" factor? Low profile? Or do I just need to practice with it more? What are your preferences?
Thx

I play standing up and I use an Ernie Ball VP Jr. I like it for what I do.. but I don't used it all the time... more of an effect on certain songs. Relatively cheap and gets the job done....

I am using my pedal less and less and working on technique more.

But I use a Boss ME 25. Good all in one

Hi Dana
My preference would be to offer you some $$$ for one of those pedals which obviously you now hate and have to get rid of.. Cool

..it IS an acquired art as to the 'feel' of the taller pedals and sometimes a pain (in the ankle!) ...some of us can cope.. although in my case I find it MUCH easier to incorporate in 'normal' electric guitar playing, with everything hanging around my neck at the time, rather than trying to do it while I'm "doing the ironing" at a stand-up steel...

HTH

..and I AM interested if you want to sell one ! Wink

Cheers,
Peter
