Trip to Austin Need Input

I am planning a trip to Austin later this month. Can any Austin players give me some insight on clubs to try to hit for traditional country music? Also any areas I should avoid for safety reasons? Thanks for any info you can send my way.

Red Volkaert usually does a free show at the Continental Club 3PM Saturdays. Stay away from 6th Street at night. Check who's playing at Gruene Hall and The Broken Spoke...
