gentlemen I amin the market for asingle neck steel in c 6 tuning I want a plain vanilla steel it needsto be set up in original style not any of the codependents or stuff moved please dennis n brown ps alsobe a 10string

Just as a little aside, if a C6th doesn't fall out of the sky into your lap real soon... I'd guess what you want is on, eeee, 2/100 guitars set that way? Or LESS. THe OVERWHELMING preference is E9th, and people who want C6th will get a doubleneck. Now, I'm weird enough to have ordered a S-10 C6th from the Carter factory, originally 4+4 (pedals and knees) but I refined the tuning a bit and ended up with 5+5. To give you an idea of just popular that is, I'd been watching it creep around the forum sales for a few stops, and second-to last the buyer actually demolished the Stependous-est c6th 5+5 setup ever and banged it into an ordinary E9th... to my mind that's like putting a crown on a watermelon and calling it your queen, but to each their own. Somebody MAY have one tucked away, but do be aware that C6th does not have a standard settled-down setup past three of the pedals and one of the knee levers. There are a few pedal and knee changes that most people have, but they put them on different levers. Which is a windy way of saying, if the mothership doesn't hit you up real soon, you could/will end up buying an E9th git and having it re-jiggered around to C6th.

Considering the cost shipped to YOU, then straight shipped out to Doctor Feelgood, and back again, you MAY even find it best to get a used E-Niner right from the dealer who CAN reset it fom the get-go. If it's a 3-pedal 4-knee E9th I would, if it were me, strongly consider getting at least one more footpedal right outta the gate (another reason a dealer/repairer guy makes for one-stop shopping). If you want to two-foot pedals, the pedals will need to be moved further towards the changer.

I agree with most of the above. Not much of a market for C6 S-10's, but there are a few who do want them, and not many around. I was also a little appalled to see that Carter get butchered, I had kind of coveted that one myself!

gentlemen I had a nice long talk with danny burnham from beck musicial instruments today we could hardy stay on topic we had so much in common especialy our masonic affiliations both of us being past masters and our related work seeing iamjust a beginning steeler he recommended that it would be easer to learn e 9 and c6n on just one neck in other words with both tunings being played one one neck it does make sense but I still have the marlen push release 2 necker itold him I was going togivethe marlen a honet try and if it didn't work out move it toa better home and have beck build me a 12 string I ony live 3hours or so from Scranton ark where they are built and being a loyal Arkansan let mr fritche and company build me one and being soclose ain person or phone calljust makes sense tome wellback topracticing on the marlen yours dennis n brown pocahonts ark atrue son of the south
