MSA Sidekick Steel

I just got a MSA Sidekick Steel and would like any info on the tuning and setup for this guitar. I have an MSA Classic double, but this one is strange to me. Thanks for any help on this. Bob

I have an MSA Sidekick and a Red Baron. The Sidekick has 2 knee levers, lowers and raises 4 and 8. They both sound great. I use them on gigs that I have to play both guitar and psg on. I take my Sho-Bud out when I get to play steel all night. There was a time when I played the Red Baron quite often, I really learned how to get a lot out of 3 pedals and 1 knee lever. Hey Guy's;
Does anyone know where this came from? I just got an MSA Sidekick Steel and the Knee Lever Lowers the (1) and (7) Strings and I don't have a clue what this is or how to use the thing. First time I came across this setup. Any ideas on this? Thanks, Bob

That knee lever is simply set up wrong, Bobby.

The manual says that it should lower the 4th and 8th string, but it would be more versatile if you lowered the 2nd and 8th.

I also have an MSA Sidekick, and as bOb has said, it lowers the 2nd and 8th string on my steel. I have the manual and I don't recall it saying anything about the 1st and 7th strings. My steel only has 1 knee lever, not two. Even though it may have some limitations, as to how many strings can be changed, I have seen and heard some great steel played on this type of instrument.

Thanks for the reply guy's, but I can't see how to change the lever for the 1 and 7 to the 2 and 8 without running up against the other pulls already using those fingers. Does anyone have a diagram of how this thing should be set up in picture form so even a dummy like me can see how to set this thing up? I can do it if I could see how it should be, I think. Bob
