Probably way out of line, but I figured what the heck, give it a try. Name brand, condition and age not important, but want 8 strings per neck...this is for a friend of mine, not me. Thanks in advance for any leads.

Larry,
Would you be interested in a Henway?

Larry, forgive me for this reply.I have a few D 8 pedal and non pedal Steel guitars. The playable ones in decent shape cost me $500 for the pictures. You might get a pitiful old Fender 1000 minus most of it for $500 on a good day.I know there are D 8's out there, hopefully they are all playable. Good luck in your quest.

Not a problem at all...I realize the budget is a little low for something in decent shape...I was thinking perhaps of getting something in this range and then over time improving it with needed upgrades...spread out the pain a little
The reality is that it is probably better to get a second lap steel and tune it to a desired tuning, since my friend already owns a 6 string lap steel.
thanks

Larry, I have a D-10 pedal guitar less pedal board from the late 50's for $200.00 plus shipping. It could easily be made into a SD-10 pull and release PSG or a D-10 non-pedal. I don't think I have legs for it any longer.
No case. Photos can be sent if interested.

Hi, I have a '54 Fender double neck 8 with original trapezoidal pickups that I am thinking of selling, but I would need to get $700 for it, plus shipping. It is ready to play.
It is missing the original legs and case.
I know it is more than your friend wants to spend, but thought I would throw it out there. It needs nothing. All 16 tuners work well and hold tune.

I think for now I am going to lay low on this idea.
