I'm thinking about adding another pedal to my Emmons 3X4. What string does a 4th pedal usually bend?

I'm not by any means a prude or a fundamentalist. I'm all for adding pedals and levers as needed. But my advice is: add a change because of a musical sound you want, a style you seek, a change that someone else has that you like, an idea you want to pursue. Don't add a pedal just because....it's putting the cart before the horse.

Jon,I think Joe might be asking for our help here.
Joe,the most used change for the 4th pedal on the E9th would be to lower your 5,6 and 10th strings a whole tone(known as the Franklin pedal)you'll find a lot of different ways to use that change as well.
Hope this helps.

I had a 4th pedal on My Emmons LegrandeII and this pedal lowered both B's and the lower G# a full step.Just like Fred said. You will gain a lot when you ad this pedal.

A vertical knee lever will be more useful than a 4th pedal, because you can use it with all 3 pedals.
