Unique Little Walter
Most of you probably seen my facebook page
and my comments and pics that Phil posted
showing my new amp.
I can't add much to all the comments I've read
over the years about Little Walter Amps. Only to say
that I had to see and hear it for myself.
I've had this idea for a couple of years but
just couldn't bring myself to buy Phils amp.
Then when he made the #89 100 watt amp thats when
I decided to buy in. I wanted build a unique cabinet
for it so I chose birdseye pine and 1/4" Lexan.
I haven't used it on bass gig yet but I see no
reason why it won't perform just fine.
Oh well here is my take on the #89.
Phil likes to give his amps a personal touch
by giving the amps a name. When he was doing final
testing on my amp he found out about Merle Haggard's
passing. So we agreed to name it "Merle".

I saw the Facebook posts about this. Great work. But, it looks too nice to take out on a job and get all scratched up.

There is no fan necessary. Gravity will vent the
tubes. The old Fender amps were designed this way
and they still survive today.

This is such a great idea...can't wait to see pics of this head with the tubes lit!
I'm getting very interested in the Little Walter amps and would love to hear your honest feedback. Are you running the '89 through a LW cab as well?
Best,
Chris

I don't use Little Walter speaker cabinets.
I've been making cabinets for over 20 years.
My 15" speaker is a Eminence EPS-15 and my
12" Neo speaker was a gift from TC Furlong that
he gave me years ago when I was making some
prototype speaker cabinets for him. I think
he had those speakers made in England?
Both sound great.
