You have heard the term " Wall Hanger " when talking guns ? If you had a wall big enough the Pepi-Jo would be one. I bought one new . Mad

I do know that they were marketed by Guy "Pepi" Peeler well known pedal steel player in the Johnson City, TN area. A friend of mine bought one in 1968. I don't remember much about it. I believe it was a sort of a Sho-Bud permanent design but not 100% sure.

Thanks guys, I have a D10 for a project. Looks very much like early Marlen pull release set up and has a real nice birdseye cabinet.

Pepi Peeler is the Pepi in the name and Joe Morrell, well know owner of several music stores was the Jo. Joe was the money guy and Pepi was the designer. Later, and maybe to this day, there was the Morrell steel guitar, which I believe was a lap steel.

My experience with the Pepi Jo was:
It was my first pedal steel guitar.
I obtained it from David West, Banjo player for Bonnie Lou & Buster.
David had a small Opry & music store at Claxton TN.
We done some horse traden and I tell you, David came out on top of the horse for sure.
Although this guitar (D-10 8x4) was new it had been sitting there 3 years and was froze up for the most part.
I kept it 11 months and couldn't say yes fast enough to 4 one hundred dollar bills in my face. Laughing
