Ozark Steel Guitar Association will have their annual Christmas JAM on December 11 at Stone Castle Hotel in Branson. We will start at 1 pm and play until 5. Every one is invited to bring Christmas snacks. We will have a short business meeting to bring everyone up to date on upcoming club events and to select next year's honorees.
We are also looking for people to help at our shows and our communications. We want to thank Jerry and Venda Hanley for all work they have done for the club over the years. They have decided to retire and we will need several people to do what they have been doing.
For those of you that are out of town, remember to tell the motel you are coming to the steel guitar event and you can get our group rate for up to 3 days before the JAM and 3 days after. Hope to see all of you at the JAM. If you have any questions call me at 417 338 6725 |

I was at the event tnis past sunday and really enjoyed all the steel and players, fun, food and fellowship.
I was especially impressed with the sound, mike McGee, got out of his zum on a song I got to sing with the ensemble of great players.
when I questioned mike with, man, where did you get that sound? he just said, well, I just don't know, it just came out like that....
last night I was at a pickin' & grinnin', down in the Mississippi delta, where I mentioned my sunday drive and a steel player ask me if mike McGee was at the branson event with his zum. as I said, yes, he was. this guy said, you know, that was john hugey's zum!
no further explanation is needed on that sound, mike! my question found it's answer!
merry Christmas to you guy's & gal's.... |

Jack, it also has to do with who was playing that Zum! John could do it and so can Mike!
