Hey, y'all! Thinking about buying some replacement legs, for my '66 Marlen. I'm stuck with some crappy, barely adjustable legs. I need some of them big heavy SOB's. figured I would go ahead and post, rather than try and sift through the forum. how 'bout it?!

I believe forum member, Glenn Porter is selling high quality steel legs.

Your Marlen legs are probably Atlas Mic stands. There is nothing crappy about those.
When you tell us they are barely adjustable, is it the clutch you are referring to?
Check to see if it was accidentally oiled. The clutch won't grab an oiled surface.
Check to see if they are put together correctly do the sleeves can do their work. I have seen a lot thst have parts installed backwards.
If they are worn out, you can buy replacement kits from Atlas or in some music store chains.

Here's the deal. I used to have an Emmons, that came with these low quality legs. The footing is just a piece of all thread, that doesn't give you much height to adjust to. I started using the Marlen's legs, on the Emmons. Then, the Emmons was stolen. These are the crappy legs...

I bought a set of these for my MSA D12 project that I got missing the legs. So far they seem to be good but I don't have any experience to go by.

I have never seen those legs on an Emmons, or Marlen. They are always Atlas.

Now, I can vouch for the replacement legs mentioned above. I have had him
Make new adjustable legs for my Fender 400s and I machined sleeves to fit into the fat pedal rack clamps.
