I recently purchased this National Triplex off ebay:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/VINTAGE-NATIONAL-TRIPLEX-CHORD-CHANGER-LAP-STEEL-GUITAR-/272203192014?_trksid=p2047675.l2557&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&nma=true&si=qYYTKlKwM9z0xFiU7752D77ujUA%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc

It's missing the nut and I was thinking that using a roller nut might make the tuning changer work a little better. Does anyone make a six string roller nut, preferably with a 3/8" string spacing? I did find this thread where Tony Boadle made his own on a guitar that he added a multibender to:

Somewhere I also saw where someone suggested using bass string ends instead of regular guitar string ends.

Another option might be to make a conventional nut out of a really slippery plastic like Delrin.

Any thoughts? Suggestions?

I see this recent Melbert has one. I'll try to contact Robert.
