| Yes. Very different. But the tab to Buck's recording is appreciated as well I'm sure. I'll send along the Burrito version by morning. Can't do it right now as I'm on my way to watch Rick Schmidt play his regular Friday afternoon to early evening gig with The Cowboy Rangers.Maybe do a little singing. |

Here is the intro to the Burritos recording of "Close Up The Honkytonks" from their "Anthology" cd. At the top instead of the open 3 and 5 strings, I prefer to stay on strings 5 and 6 with the A and B pedals down, but this is closer to the actual recording. Also for fun and if you want to incorporate some practice blocking and "string jumping", replace the lowering a half tone of string 4 in the end passage with the 2nd string at 5, and 1st string at 5 instead of raising the 5th string with the c pedal. Sneaky Pete's stuff is always fun. His tuning was B7 I believe. Hope this all makes sense. It's my first offering to the forum.
