I recently bought a very nice used Mullen rp. It has two small but deep scratches on the pedalboard chrome. Is there an easy repair for this? Otherwise it looks almost new or I wouldn't bother.

Are you sure it's chrome plated and not polished aluminum?

I was about to post something like "gee, you'll have to remove it all and have the bar replated."
But sometimes when I'm talking from logic rather than knowledge, I'll double check. I googled "spot plating" and found this: www.onderstal.nl/what_is_brushplating.htm

I don't know what sort of prep work needs to be done, but it can be fixed.

Yeah, the top of the pedalboard is chrome, Lane. A friend bought it on here from a guy in Texas. It looks like something was dropped on it a couple times. Not so noticeable that I would change the pedalboard though. Just hoping that there was a quick fix

Missouri is a big state. If you're near KC, give Missouri Plating a call. If you know many bikers, I'll bet they'll know who would do it.

It's funny, but guitar players LOVE battlescars on their guitars, while steel players want them pristine. My steels have scratches in the chrome & I couldn't care less. It's how it SOUNDS & plays that is important. I wouldn't worry about it.
