ZB D-10 restoration complete!!!

What we have here is a 1969 ZB Custom D-10 that just got the full works treatment done to it. All of the castings have been sanded and highly polished. The new lacquer finish was done by Glenn Thompson of Thompson's Guitar Shop in Mt. Vernon, Kentucky.
The guitar had the entire C6 mechanism taken out of it when I received it and the E9th was needing some attention too. I added 2 knee levers using NOS ZB levers to match the existing ones, including LKV. I replaced all of the stainless changer caps and one broken changer finger. The belly of the guitar was repainted black along with the cross straps. Screwheads and springs polished or replaced.
This picture was taken on stage at Renfro Valley where I had the pleasure of giving it a full weekend test drive. It sounds incredible and plays very smooth. Actually I would like to keep this one for myself!!!!
The front apron has alot more figure in the maple than the pic shows, guess I need to change my lighting and resolution next time!!
Oh yea, this guitar belongs to forumite Dave Zirbel and will be heading for the west coast soon!!!!
Well, I still can't figure out how to get my pics to show on the forum so just click the link below. Sorry
