Does anyone know the serial # on Buddy's Blade? Couldn't find it on Ernie's website.
Thanks

I once owned a Rosewood PP #1128D that was 10 invoice numbers older than the Blade, so I was told by Bruce Zumsteg. He used it as his "control" guitar for awhile. I sold it to Jerry Roller and he sold it to John Robel in Washington state.
I now have one just like it #1089D. This one came from Tim Darby by way of Bob Bender. Mike Cass told Bob to never sell it, he did, I am a happy camper now.
It came with 14K pickups, I replaced them with 16K TT. Need I go on and on about them?

I have 1146D which is also supposed to be real close to "the Blade". Both of these guitars were actually in "Dr. Cass's" office together not too long ago.... |

Well, I own # 1127 D, 1002 D and the one I have had for over 30 years, # 1554 D.
I just bought # 1127 D this weekend at the "Chattanooga Reunion." Buddy looked it over and said he wasn't sure what the "Blade number" was, but this guitar looked just like it in every way and he felt they must be very close to the same number. Larry Sasser says he wants it and for me to hold it for him 'til Wednesday of this week.
Wonderful guitars, quite possibly the worlds greatest sounding steels ever built.
The opinion of many. |

I have #1148D which is a very clean black D10 with 8+5 with 2 levers ready to be reinstalled. It is a great guitar.

Hey Jennings,
"The Blade" is what Buddy named his '68 rosewood that most of us lust after.
