vertical knee lever installation

I have Mullen D-10 and would like to take the vertical knee lever from the E9 and put it into service of the C 6th neck. Has anyone ever done this? I emailed Mullen but got no reply. I am not a machinist, more of mechanical blunder waiting to happen.

Royal or Pre RP? The cross shaft might have to be cut to re-position and a few other differences depending on which model you have.

Leave the old one and buy a new kit from Mullen.
