Hi,
Just started playing last Nov. Have played reg. guitar for many years until my fingers on my left hand started to cause me pain. Old age I guess. Thought I would try the steel and am having a great time. Don't think my wife is but I offered her my ear plugs. I am 62 and it is a little more difficult then when younger. I have gotten so much information here and I am glad I am finely a member. I will probably have a lot of dumb questions, so thanks in advance for your help.

Welcome, George, from a almost beginning 57 yo.

The steel is relaxing, daunting, challenging, and fun. I am just beginning again after about seven years. I remember a little but I am learning most of it all over again.

What kind of steel are you playing? I am starting out on a 12-string.

Hi George, welcome.
No question is too dumb because everybody else had to ask it them selves sometime.
Or invent a solution... then we started asking them questions.

Hey there George,
I just started a couple of years ago at age 45. The best thing I ever did. Listen to everyone's advice, then play it your way.
