I have always loved Mike Auldridge's "Little Rock Get Away' from his 1980(?) album. It is interesting to compare it to Joaquin Murphey's version with Spade Cooley, Melody Roundup transcription, circa Nov 1945.

Murphey plays the head at 3.26 on this video, courtesy of Chris Clem.

Here is my transcription. There were a few choices to be made but it feels OK to me. Any suggestions are welcome.

Check out Chris Clem's Youtube channel for some real gems! Some remarkable and rare material there for western swing fans.

Fantastic, Guy! This is a great old tune that needs to be heard more and kept alive. I've been looking for an accurate transcription of this for a long time and you have provided it!

Thanks, Andy. I have been trying to get this up to speed this morning and have another alteration to the tab, in bars 2 and 3. I would put it in as an ossia bar (extra stave) but then it wouldn't fit on one page. Oh well. I bet there are other solutions possible. I should probably leave it alone now. These .png file are only about 200k so I trust Bob doesn't mind.
