| Was hoping that someone out there has mapped out a setup for the pedal & lever pulls indicating which hole on the changer and which of the 14 holes on the bell cranks give the best timing and feel. |

| Jim, You could use the Carter rodding chart found on their site,. under the steel guitar information resource section. I'm having the same problem right now with a Sho Bud I have. The setup chart they offer is a good starting point as I don't think there is really one right way to set up a guitar. It all depends on what you like in terms of pedal travel and feel and whatnot. |

Because Emmons' LeGrande II's mostly use 14 hole bellcranks I would strongly advise you to call Emmons and get their chart.
But first make sure you have the 14 holers. If you have the 4 holers (a few earlier models did), be sure to tell Ron Jr when you call.

Thanks for the reply. I, ofcourse, started with Emmons but they sent me a standard copedant setup sheet, (tunings only). Perhaps I didn't communicate effectively what I needed. I'll take your advice and try again. After that failed attemp I turned to the Forum thinking that someone had perhaps created a chart after fine tuning their pull timing. I'll let you know how I do with Emmons. |

Hi, Jim, I just sent you a scan I have of the Emmons rodding chart with the info you need, let me know if you can't open it and I can snail mail you one. My guitar pulls great set up mostly following the Emmons chart, although I'd welcome anybody's input on their 8th pedal C6 pull, mine's a bit stiff and short.

| What I could really use is a steel guitar manipulator stand like the engine stands they use to rebuild blocks. That constantly turning the thing over or climbing under it is a pain. There's gotta be an easier way. |
