I ordered it about 4 weeks ago. Can't wait!

I've been using a Freeloader for quite a few years now and really, really do like it. Brad Sarno uses some sort of voodoo witchcraft on them.

I finally decided to step it up a notch and get the Black Box.

Several years ago, I tried one out at Carter Guitar.

While I didn't notice any huge difference, I did notice mids were a little less harsh and the highs were cleaner and string separation was somewhat better. Lows stayed pretty much the same.

Overall the balance across the strings was somewhat better with it than without.

New toys are fun so enjoy.

Dick all of the things you mentioned are small but added together make the unit well worth the money.

I would say the same about the Freeloader. The change isn't huge when you first use it; however, to my ears the difference is quite noticeable when it's not in the chain.

Can't wait to get the Black Box!

Great toy, on my Emmons it allows me to make 6,8 & 10 very clean and clear without making 3 & 5 too thin. I have 2 black boxes. Love them.

I am on my 2nd Black Box and it "ain't" going no where. I bought the first one from Jerry Roller with a money back guarantee. I tried it, didn't think it made a lot of difference and was not worth the money. I called Jerry and told him I would like to return it. Jerry said OK, but please give it a chance and try it for 2 weeks first. OK, I did that, then took it away to send back. My guitar just didn't have it without the Black Box. Maybe my ears changed, but take it away and I noticed the difference, so I kept it.

Fast forward about a year: I was needing money and looked at what I had to sell that I could do without. I sold the Black Box, a big mistake. Later, when I could afford it, I bought a 2nd one from Brad because I thought he would have the very latest model, if there is such a thing.I wish I could weld it into my rack mount so I can't ever sell it again. That one 12AX7 tube makes the magic, IMHO. I now have a Steelaire rack mount and the Black Box enhance's it as well. My Black Box is not for sale, trade, rent, or anything else. It is a keeper.
