I only just discovered British musician Kenny Johnson, and now he has left us. He was an original member of The Hillsiders, and later had the band Northwind. Kenny made great music - some with and some without a steel. I did not realize it but he also hosted a radio show and was a member of the British Country Music Hall Of Fame.
Condolences to our friends across the waters who no doubt feel this a little deeper, but his passing is a loss to country music everywhere it is appreciated. |

Kenny was a big part of the country music scene in Britain. A complete pro!

Those of us of a certain age knew and loved Kenny. Arguably the best country singer ever to come out of the UK. You can hear him here with this country crossover track.

I have only just seen this very sad news about Kenny. He was a good friend and a huge talent. My belated condolences go out to his family and countless other friends.
