Being a Emmons guitar collector, I've all the sudden become interested in the Emmons Black-Rock P/P once manufactured by Ron Lashley and the Emmons Guitar Co. Here's my take on it and please correct me if I'm wrong. I want to know more about this guitar and it's history.

I think it must have been very short lived, built sometime during the mid to late 70's. They were push-pulls with bolt-on changers.
I do not own one myself, but I've seen a few listed on ebay. They looked to have been an upgraded Emmons student model. These guitars had the wraparound aluminum endcastings and aluminum trim strips on the front apron like the pro models. However, they had a wooden pedal-bar, and a quarter inch raised wood neck for the fretboard. The tone control looked simular to those on the Emmons student models. I've only seen them in black and rosewood. Maybe some of you Emmons history buffs can shed some light about these guitars and tell us more. Were they a poor seller during their time. We're they only offered in a S-10 model. I would like to have one to add to my collection. Nick,
I`m sure the standard Black Rock came with 3 pedals and 2 levers but more could be added if needed.

I have a BlackRock that I have played and recorded with for over twenty years. This is the second one I have owned and just recently bought an aluminium neck S10.I have photos but don't know how to put them on but they don't look any different to the one on ebay.I agree they came from the factory with 2 knee levers on the E string ,mine is fitted with a lever to lower D#-D-C#.

My first guitar was an Emmons GS-10? I think. It was a student model without a raised neck. I had been playing my Dad's Sho-Bud Pro I. The sound of this guitar blew both my dad and I away! We both ordered Emmons Push Pulls in 1979.
I have tried to locate this guitar in recent months without success.
