Course For Steel Guitar By Jerry Byrd with Rhythm Track CD's

Post by Roger Kelly »

This book comes in a large 3-ring heavy cover with a plastic holder for the cassette tapes. Included are two 2-track stereo Rhythm/Demonstration tapes or CDs. Steel Guitar by Jerry Byrd is on track 1 and trio accompaniment in on track 2. This allows the student to turn off track 1 and play with the trio. Covers material in books 1, 2, and 3. Jerry narrates how he does the things he does on Steel Guitar.

If you want to learn from THE MASTER this is your Course.

This Course sells for $103.50 retail at Scotty's Music.

I am asking $75.00, which includes Shipping to your door in the lower 48. (The Rhythm Tracks alone are worth as much as I am asking for the entire course.)

I can take your personal check, USPS Money Order or Paypal.

Roger, I'm not clear on this - you are using the same verbiage as on Scotty's site in reference to cassette tapes.

Has everything been modernized and converted to CD, or does the package still contain some cassette tapes?

And is it all in excellent condition?

Mark,

If you will notice in my lower picture the Course comes with 2 CD's....there are NO Cassettes that come with this Course. Yes it is in Excellent condition and obviously up-dated with the CD's. I had no trouble following the instructional CD's with the written instruction.

No, I didn't see any cassettes in the photo either - but it did seem a little confusing to me that the language involving the cassettes was used in your posting. Not sure why you bothered to include that.

You yourself wouldn't be confused because you're the one selling the materials.

Seemed like a fairly innocent question, I lose because I got busy and didn't check back in time and James beat me to it.

If you ever have anything else for sale on the forum, God forbid that I insult you by asking a question about it. :whoa:

Mark,
I never took your question as an insult at all..I thought you made a good point. I did use the same language as you suggested I did and did not notice the word "Cassette" until you pointed that out to me.

I answered your question as best as I could, meanwhile another interested buyer said he wanted the item. I have always sold to the first person who says he will take it which is only fair in my opinion.

I am sorry you may believe that you didn't get the item because you may have insulted me in some way...that was not the case.

Thank you for the clarification Roger, I had no way of knowing you didn't notice the word "cassette" in your original post until you pointed it out just now, I don't have a crystal ball - I had to assume you knew it was there.

Frankly, I'm not even sure why that same spiel still exists on Scotty's site including the word "cassette" if there haven't been cassettes as part of the course for many years.

Since you didn't realize the word was in there and of course I had no idea at the time, your reply to me came off like you were annoyed by my question.

I'm not "sore" about losing, that had zero to do with it.

As for Erv, I'm not sure why you felt compelled to post about it, you have less than zero to do with it.
