I've got a midi unit for my steel but since the introduction of the Electro-Harmonix B9 I rarely need it anymore but find myself wanting an accordion sound on some songs but cannot find anything out there that does a reasonable job. Does anyone have a recommendation?

Hey Jim. I've played around with this Boss pedal for accordion sounds. I can't say it ever satisfied me -- not even really close -- but it produces an unexpected enough sound that it can sort of fool the ear if used tastefully (and just like the B9, your approach to playing is an important part of the equation).

Use an accordion, go to jail.

Use an accordion emulator, go the federal prison.
