Hello, what exactly would a Fox mod do for my Nashville 112, or do the mods pertain to older amps. Thanks. |

Not sure on a Nashville 112 but I did the Mod on an LA 400 and the tone change was amazing. The amp went from a thin distortion guitar amp to a great warm sounding little beauty. The LA 400 is a 200 watt 1 12 amp.
But yes contact Ken Fox Grate guy and supper helpful.

Been out of the loop a few weeks due to shoulder surgery
The same opamps used in the old LA 400 are what has been used for years in Peavey amps. The op amp is where the preamp develops the signal that is then sent to the power amp for further and final amplification.
The preamp ic chips are small audio amps. Much like preamp tubes for a tube amp. There are a garden variety of those and all have their own tonal character
The Burr Brown chip is a very nice upgrade to the stock chip in your amp. Again like changing preamp tubes you have the opportunity to upgrade your amp with a chip designed for specifically for musical amplification. |

Its been reported the new NV112's have soldered on chips rather than sockets. I wouldn't attempt to replace these. |

Nice feedback I got the other day:
Hi I just installed the mod chips you sent me into my N112 yesterday and I am very happy with the results! Really makes the amp better. It sounds to my ears warmer and fatter, with nice punch and smoother top end, and a rounder bottom as well. Thank you for making these available!
