I'd just gotten word from a close friend of Chuck's that he'd passed away.

Chuck was a ZB man for sure.

My condolences to his family & friends.

Oh no, this is terrible news. I worked on several ZB's for Chuck. He was a great guy and a great fellow to deal with. My sincere condolences to his family.

I went to his store in Jackson, TN several times. He was always very nice. Chuck really liked ZB custom steel guitars and always enjoyed talking about them.

I am shocked and saddened by this news. I had dealings with Chuck on the forum and he has been a friend and brother of the steel guitar. I bought two ZB's from Chuck the last being his prized Zane built 67. My deepest sympathy to his family and I pray peace and comfort at this difficult time.

Another good dude goes ...

Oh, brother, another good dude to bite the dust way too soon. I communicated with Chuck for decades here on The Forum and we did business together. Yes, ZBs were involved among other steels.

Honest, knowledgable and a great sense of humor is what I will remember about this man.

My condolences to the family. steve t

Thanks for posting that Russ. I still miss Chuck and suppose I always will, at this point. It's always sad to say goodbye to a kind and gentle soul like his.
Have a beautiful evening.
