I listened to the demo and the clean channel to my ears sounds thin. I did not listen to the end of the demo but did not think it was a tube amp. More suited for guitar?

Thanks Len,

It is indeed a valve amp, check this:

http://www.ampeg.com/products/gvt/gvt52-112/

Another question, can a valve amp's character be changed by just changing the valves?
So can a Fender's valves be inserted? What will change then?

This amp is locally available at a reasonable price, +- $250.

The only real test is to play your steel through the am and let your ears decide. It also weighs over 50 pounds and the speaker may not be suited for Stelel guitar. But the price is right and you can always change the speaker.

Let us know if you go for it?

Thanks Len, the amp is far away from me, will be seeing it only in September if it is still for sale. I will wait my time.
I have good amps available in the mean time.
The Milkman mini is still out of my reach.

How about changing valves, anyone?

I'll wait for the games to start.
