Ricky,
Could you tell me about when a LDG, serial # 16505 would have been built?
Thanks,
Ron

I'm sorry Ron; I haven't a clue about the serial numbers...as I don't believe anyone does...as they weren't in any kinda series.
But you can tell me about your LDG and I can probably get close.
Does it say "LDG Model" or "LDG SP"??
Narrow or wide pedals?
Double raise/single lower or more??
Raised fret board or flat??
Round front or square front??
How are the rods affixed or pulled by the pullers(bell cranks) underneath?
Ok start with that....and better yet...>if you can send my a picture to my email...that would clinch the deal.
Ricky

Ron, I'd say Bob is correct based on what I've seen. The frontboard is probably square and not rounded like the older ones. If it is triple raise/double lower it has the best system Sho-Bud ever made. However, I would encourage you to replace the pot-metal fingers for better sound and tuning. The sweeper arm digs into the finger creating a groove that will cause you to chase it forever.Usually, some of the fingers are not worn and can allow you a credit with us when we replace them with our new improved Sho-Bud finger with a pin "not slots" for the string. Thanks, Jeff
