This may have been discussed before.....and I know there will be alot of different opinions....so here goes. I've been using E66
pu's on my Zum for almost 20 years. Up untill now I have never had the inclination to change. That is until I saw the MSA Millennium and the really neat feature of being able to change the pickups at will. Any way, I know there are a ton of pickup options out there. But now I'm thinking I would like something with a little more zip. Something with a little more attack with out being to harsh. So the door is open everybody. This goes with out saying, but jump in.....Thanks

Another vote for True Tone. I have a True Tone installed in my Millennium and it sounds terrific. Big fat well defined bottom end. Crystal clear highs and all the sustain you could ask for.

Jerry Wallace True Tone pickups are a real winner. I put one on a Carter S-12 and it sounded great. I just installed a pair on my Sho-Bud Super Pro and they are fantastic.

JW True Tone.

I have an MSA Millenium SU-12 and I ordered it with E66. Great pickup. But doggone it, since I could change pickups easily, it nagged me until I tried a True Tone. Very good tone. I also tried a George L 12-1 for awhile. All good, all different.

17.5's and 19.5's. Yes True Tones forever!!!

I think that the Pittman pickups I have on my Fessy ar the best I've ever heard. They pick up every sideways scratch, I make a lot of strange sideways scratches, and make every sound ring true.

Jack:

I hope you're well my friend. Anyway, I agree with the choice of the Jerry Wallace single-coils.

Single-coils are, as you probably know, a little more apt to hum due to electrical/wiring issues. But the Wallace p/us are better than most about this and the trade-off for tone reproduction is big time worth it IMHO.

On my latest D-10 ZumSteel, I had BL 910s at first (too dark for me.) I switched to BL 710s which I liked better but still weren't quite what I wanted. When Bruce sent me the single-coils, well... in the words of my friend Tommy Detamore, "It was like someone took the blanket off the amp." Got that great midrange with a 'growl' that I like so much. Sounds more alive all the way across.

Hope this helps and stay well.
