Hi folks,

I'm looking for a more robust speaker that will meet the specs for the Mackie DLM12S subwoofer cabinet. The stock speaker blew after non abusive use and it's out of warranty. and I'd like to get something more heavy duty. Mackie didn't really tell me much. The present speaker is a 12" woofer with a 3" voice coil, 2000 watts peak, 1000rms.

Does anyone know of a speaker that would fit this cabinet which would be more powerful?

Thanks, Justin. I found this subwoofer, but can't find the ohm matchup. Do you guys think this would work?

I think it would work, but I can't find the ohms of your sub. Make sure the power handling, ohms, and mounting depth match up and you should be fine. Don't be afraid of their Dayton brand. I used several for my last PA and had no problems.
