I've watched quite a few of Dan's videos - he is quite the skilled Luthier and knows a lot of tricks of the trade.
I've been tempted to try that very repair, but maybe I should buy a craigslist junker to experiment with first...

Tony, Thanks for posting...I've done similar, using clear auto lacquer in a touchup pen, I like his way of finish sanding lot better than the way I did it.
