ALright everyone I'll preface this with saying that this is a total noob question, and also that my steel is in the mail and I can't wait! But here goes- what's the difference between all the different types of steel models (i.e. S-10, SD-10, etc..)? I mean I get that the number is the number of strings, but what about all the letters and the combinations therein? Please explain this pedal steel cryptography haha. Also, I realize this question is ridiculous and please feel free to publicly shame.

basically, randy, a D10 is a doubleneck (2 ten string necks).
an S10 is a single neck ten string. body is half as wide as a doubleneck.
an SD10 is a single ten string neck on a body that is as wide as a D10. (picture a D10 without the back neck)
