I just played my new Zum Encore on a four hour gig last night after receiving it Friday afternoon, it is way better than I had hoped for, I talked with Gary Carter ( via email) before I ordered it because he plays one when he travels, and he said they played great , he was right, like his picking , he tells the truth.....if your wondering about these light weight guitars walking around the stage on you, quit worrying, it never moved all night and Doug Ernest was a pleasure to deal with!!!! A+ all the way
PS, I still love my LDG and Pro II, but this guitar will make a believer out of even the harshest critics....

Best buy I've made in years, Mark - my Encore is almost my go-to guitar these days, even 'though I bought it just for rehearsals and casual stuff.
Boy, I'd love to know what set-up is on Gary's Encore - he has some clever variations on his E9 pedals and knees.
ZUM ENCORE for MEEEEEEEEEEE!

This is not only a tremendous instrument but Doug has a first class after sales service too. This is one of the best investments I have ever made and Mark I know you will love it more and more; especially if you are carrying it about a lot. JAMES TAYLOR SCOTLAND

James I carry mine a LOT,so the weight is a big deal, I'll probably use it more than the others, I can leave a couple set up all the time, one in a club I play regular and one at my church ( hey I'm Methodist it's ok ), then when traveling just use the Encore.

I played mine on a gig last night and all I can say is that its always a pleasure to play this steel. It plays/tunes and sounds great every gig. Encore's are great pedal steels!
