Thanks to all...it was a great time! We had 15 players including 1 lead guitarist. Everyone played so well, and it was a huge success. This was our third year in Chula Vista, and we plan to continue this event. Tom Wolverton with his Stringmaster was a refreshing change from pedal steel...you played great Tom! Meeting Randy Hess was a pleasure; you play wonderfully, Randy. Of course, our hero, JayDee was in his usual top form. Also got to hear another great California player, Kevin Ryan, who also writes a column in our monthly SWSGA newsletter. Great job, Kevin! I also got to meet a couple of relative newcomers to steel; David Mills and Paul Strauskas. These guys are coming on strong, and are doing it right! Other players were Troy Porter, Tom Mossburg, Gerald Daniels, Rick Schmidt, Peter Freiberger, Wes Bakken, Jeff McNeill. (Hope I didn't leave anyone out). Thanks to our anchor, Frank Carter for piloting the BIAB and keeping things rolling. There were also several folks who dropped by just to listen, and we appreciate them also. This jam was not closed to SWSGA Members only, so whenever you hear that we are putting on a jam, come and join in whether you are a member or not. Guaranteed fun or your money back!

Kudos to Billy and Frank and everyone else involved. I only made Saturday, but had a great time. A whole lot of great playing on both necks to be heard, which has inspired me to get back to work after a bit of a recent slump.
