On my Williams Uni12 with a Wallace True Tone single coil, my 4th string is noticeably louder than other strings. The pick-up is, to my eye, level, the pole for that string is level, but that string really rings loud! Think an EQ unit would help? Any ideas would be appreciated.

It might be the way you pick that string. |

it definitely could be and I have tried to be aware of that and to pick and block accordingly but it still sounds louder. Thanks Erv! _________________ Show Pro SD10 guitars

Fred,
It might even just be the string. You could possibly try another brand of string in that position. |

That is a good idea. Since my Williams never breaks strings, I had not thought of that!

If the strings are old, that easily happens. _________________ 2 pedal steels, a lapStrat, and an 8-string Dobro (and 3 ukes)
