The next SouthEast Texas Steel Guitar club meeting in Katy will be on Sunday May 3rd 2:30pm. The building will be open at 1:30pm for setup.

We will meet at Life Church which is located at 26189 Westheimer Parkway in Katy.

Featured Player:
Janet Wise

Janet Wise was one of the original supporters of our group. It's great to have her play for us. Lately, she has performed at many of the steel guitar shows
and associations in Texas and surrounding states. Get this on your calendar.

We will also have a jam time for those who bring their steel guitars.
We want more steel players to be featured. If you only have 2-3 prepared songs. we can arrange for a short featured spot just let us know.

Directions to the LIFE Church building are:
From I-10 W (Katy) :
Take the exit for Pin Oak Rd ( Katy Mills Mall - exit 740 I think? )
Take Pin Oak Rd. south.
Pin Oak Rd will turn into Westheimer Parkway
Take Westheimer down to Life Church @ 26189 Westheimer Parkway on the right

Park your car in the back parking lot and enter the youth room through the back door. You can also park in the front. Usually one of the doors on the left is unlocked.

Here is the way this goes; I would like to be there; haven't been in a long time.
Next Sunday, May 3rd is our anniversary; do I go to the Katy show or do I take the wife for the day and celebrate the 46th year of marriage.
I think I need to go to the Anniversary day or I won't make it for the 47th.
Hope to see Katy in June; have fun and steel all you can..............

Tommy, that's probably a wise decision. We will see you next time. Happy anniversary!

Tommy... if, after 46 years, your marriage would be in jeopardy if you didn't take her out on the anniversary, I'm amazed that the marriage lasted that long.

On our 18th anniversary, I asked Kathy if she knew what day it was and her reply was "uh... Thursday?"

Of course, that's not the reason we divorced.

My suggestion: Have a big dinner at a nice restaurant... after the steel club meeting. ;)

Well, I hate this, but I am at work today. Not complaining about the job and the money, just that I'm going to miss the meeting.
Hopefully I'll see all next month.
