A friend of mine has a Williams D10 that is in EC he purchased new in 1998. So I guess that puts it pre 600 series ? It has 8 and 5 and is not a keyless model. It is black formica and has rarely been played, and never out of the house. I have not seen it in several years. We are wondering what a good value would be of this guitar. He has also has an Evans amp and a chair that he would like to sell, either separately or as a package. I think he has a dollar amount in mind, but I am not sure if he is too high or too low, and I would rather not disclose that amount. Thanks for your input. _________________ Zum Encore, Remington D8 non pedal, Hallmark Mosrite clone, Gretsch 6120 DSW, Gretsch G5210T-P90 Electromatic Jet Two 90,1976 Ibanez L5, Eastman archtop, Taylor Dreadnaught, Telonics pedal, Squire Tele, Squire Strat, Fender Tonemaster, Gold Tone 5 string banjo, Little Wonder tenor banjo, 3 Roland cubes 30s and 80, Carvin combo bass amp |

Hi Larry, Being a 1998 model it would be a 400 series guitar.
So,without some good pictures and if it's in really good condition I'd say it would go for around $2600 tops and lower if it's just average.
Without a model and condition of the amp it's hard to say but most likely it would go for a few hundred.
Is the "chair" actually a steel guitar pac-a-seat and not just a chair? If it's a good quality seat then it would go for around $150-175
These are guesstimates based on very little info so good luck with whatever they ultimately bring. _________________ Cops aren't paid much so I steel at night. |

Thanks, Dick, for your input. I will know more tomorrow when I go over to his house and we start working on the ad. He says the "chair" is actually a steel seat made by Williams...I wasnt aware they made them, but perhaps they do just like I have a seat that says GFI on it. Thanks again...I am looking forward to seeing the steel and getting more information out there so people can see it. Williams steels have a good reputation, I do know that much, I have just never owned one personally. Thanks again for your guesstimates _________________ Zum Encore, Remington D8 non pedal, Hallmark Mosrite clone, Gretsch 6120 DSW, Gretsch G5210T-P90 Electromatic Jet Two 90,1976 Ibanez L5, Eastman archtop, Taylor Dreadnaught, Telonics pedal, Squire Tele, Squire Strat, Fender Tonemaster, Gold Tone 5 string banjo, Little Wonder tenor banjo, 3 Roland cubes 30s and 80, Carvin combo bass amp |

Sounds like it's been taken care of very well and only had one owner.
Having had several Williams steels including the 400 model, I'd agree with Mr. Wood and say that would be a fair price. stevet |
