HILTON PEDAL, " a little annoyed"

Post by Bob Bartoli »

Does anyone know where I can get the two AC prongs for my Hitlon Peadal, little did I know the two AC prongs slide out , (I assume for different voltages I ) unfortunatley I got to the gig and I was screwed and couldn't believe my eyes as I went to plug in my AC adapter it was rendered USELESS... fortunately I had my trusty Emmons pot pedal , it was OK but not as good as my Hilton.. so I need the AC prong adapter part..can anyone help.. let this be a warning to Hilton pedal users!!! Thanks in advance.....Bbob

Hilton pedal....a little annoyed

Post by George Kimery »

Bob, a similar thing happened to me but after the show. I NEVER have anybody come up and help me tear down, but the first night I used my Hilton, a guy came up and wanted to help me tear down. I told him to just unplug cords and roll them up. When I tried to use the Hilton later, I discovered the prongs were missing on the adapter. I figured out what had happened and called the venue I had been playing at to check their extension cord that I was using that night. They found nothing, so I had to order a replacement from Keith.

I have never in "all my born days" seen an AC plug where the prongs are removable. This may be common knowledge to Keith and electronic guru's, but for the average guy, I think there should be a little tag attached to the cord, or a note somewhere with the pedal that alerts you to beware of losing the prongs. No problem as long as you know.

This is found on many "universal power" adapters. They have plugs for different countries and supply the correct power prong configuration for whatever country it is to be used in.

I was looking for a power supply for a device on e-bay and found an exact replacement but it was from China and it noted to specify the country it would be used in so they could ship it with the correct AC power plug in.

It may not be the ideal method, but it is used on many.

Same thing happened to me, our singer accidentally stepped on the prongs, they broke off. Keith hooked me up no problem.

As a Hilton dealer I try to help Hilton users. I have tried to help but no response. I would be glad to send this free of charge. I just need an address.
