I was curious if any one knows if there is a 1/4" input dongle similar to the iRig that is Android compatible? I know most of the nice software is all for iOS but I would just like to run a line into my phone so I can run cleartune for tempered tunings whilst muted out. Any advice appreciated! _________________ Professional Accordionist, Amateur Steel Guitarist. |

No fancy dongle that I know of, but Peterson sells an adapter to plug into the headphone/mic jack. About 13 bucks plus 4-5 for shipping.
You can find it on amazon. Search Peterson phone tuner adapter. _________________ 2 pedal steels, a lapStrat, and an 8-string Dobro (and 3 ukes)

They just released the iRig 2 for iPhone, iPod touch, iPad, Mac and Android: http://www.ikmultimedia.com/products/irig2/
I doubt that it's anything I would use, but I'd be interested to hear other's experience with it. |

Patrick, there's an adapter cable sold by Peterson (billed as for Apple, but works for Android or PC) that plugs into the phone.
All my phones are tuners. _________________ 2 pedal steels, a lapStrat, and an 8-string Dobro (and 3 ukes)

What Lane said.
This adapter works perfectly on Android - even a list there of compatible phones and tablets (most of the later ones). The best tuner I ever used (Cleatune + phone) and real cheap.
This adapter is not for audio in/out connections though - just the tuner. _________________ Priebs GFI ('09)Short-Uni10. GFI ('96)Short-Uni SD11. ('86)JEM U12

I have a Peavey adapter I bought cheap during a M/F stupid deal of the day. They all do the same thing, however, some, such as the iRig, also come with apps. |
