I keep getting "XXXXX is not responding" errors. XXXXX + whatever program. It happens on several Adobe programs, Microsoft Word, and other programs, often Windows Explorer. It just picks and chooses. Sometimes I have to actually just shut down the computer and start it up again because task manager won't start up. This on my Dell Dimension 9100 desktop with 4gb RAM and WIN7.

The kicker is, I have the same problems on my Lenovo Laptop with 8GB RAM and Win&7.

I upgraded the Dell from Xp, but the Lenovo came with Win7 installed.

I can't remember the problem happening on the desktop before Win7, but I believe it did have the problem.

Any ideas what may be causing this, and how to stop it. Like I said, the problem is the same on both computers.

On both, I have the paid version of Malwarebytes that runs all the time, Trend Micro Titanium Maximum Security. I defrag weekly. I run cCleaner weekly.
